As the name suggests, Etikway (=ethical way) represents the “ethical path”.
We are a community of designers and sustainable fashion brands, which offers a physical and digital space for their launch with the return of all their products being certified by an international organization that proves that the production method is more sustainable.
One of Etikway's greatest values is the sense of community and partnership, which is why we make a point of supporting those who do not have these certifications to obtain them.
Furthermore, we assume the responsibility of raising consumer awareness of environmental and social issues in the fashion sector, in order to promote better consumption practices.
Lucie Gomes is a Portuguese-French entrepreneur, passionate about nature, people and fashion. With a PhD in Psychology, she worked in this profession for 20 years and in 2015, from her passion for fashion and concern for the environment, her first sustainable clothing brand, Escapade, was born.
The tragedy of the collapse of the Rana Plaza building, in Bangladesh, in 2013, which caused the death of many workers in the five textile factories that operated there, was the starting point for the creation of Etikway. Lucie was not indifferent and decided to create a platform to boost fair and sustainable trade in the fashion sector, one of the most polluting in the world and responsible for global warming.
In 2020, it moved to Portugal and brought Etikway with it, with the aim of raising consumer awareness and helping to develop a level of behavior that defends sustainable living to protect the environment and future generations.
